Bereft of family and friends, Elawyn can rely on only one person, her beloved Thrace. But he is of demon stock and she is cursed; can they stay together or will circumstances force them apart? Elawyn has been snatched away and the erstwhile monk, Thrace, is determined to find her, even if it costs his own life. Together with his companions, he travels back to the Midnight Land. Peopled by lost souls, along with demons, devils, and other monstrous life-forms, Thrace knows that the chances of reclaiming the Songstress are slim, but driven by his own inner demons he has to try and save her. If he fails, then all hope of redemption is lost.
Her hopes and dreams are weighed in the balance and she has a choice to make - a choice that will give her the status pf a goddess, and all the power that will bring, or life with the man she loves. To choose between the two is not easy … it never is. But if she makes the wrong choice, people will die, worlds will crumble and everlasting darkness will prevail
The Gloaming is a world steeped in shadow and filled with menace. It is full of sinners, some of whom are repentant and others that are not...
Elawyn is a girl whose life is a mystery, even to herself. She lives amongst monsters and demons but has no fear of them, since this twilight world is all she has ever known. Her beauty stands out, like a rose amongst thorns, but all is not as it seems
